2021-22: Pope played in 28 games (27 starts) and averaged 12.3 points per game, second on the team. He scored in double figures 17 times, with a season-best 24 points scored vs. Eastern Michigan on Dec. 2 and at CSUN on Feb. 3. He made 82.8 percent of his free throw attempts (82-for-99). He had three games with 4 three-pointers made. He scored 19 points and sank the game-winning field goal with 1.4 seconds left in a 72-70 win at CSU Bakersfield on March 3. He was named to the mid-season Zootown Classic All-Tournament team at Montana.

2020-21: He stated all 15 games he played during his redshirt freshman season at UC San Diego, averaging 9.7 points and 2.3 rebounds per game. He made 39.7 percent of his three-point attempts (25-for-63). He scored a season-best 21 points on 9 of 12 shooting in the program’s first Division I game vs. UC Irvine on Jan. 9.

2019-20: Pope redshirted his first season at UC San Diego.

HIGH SCHOOL: Pope was a 2019 graduate of Torrey Pines High in San Diego. He averaged 19.3 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, while making 53 percent of his field goal attempts, 41 percent from three-point range and 86 percent from the free throw line. He led his team to a 25-7 record, the Avocado West League title and the school’s first CIF Open Division Championships to earn San Diego Section Player of the Year. He was also named The Coast News’ North County Player of the Year.
