Highlights
- MultiVersus has finally relaunched in Season 1 which, of course, means that the game has been datamined to high heaven.
- Those datamined voice lines hint at a ton of characters that are currently in the works for the game, although none of them are big surprises.
- Pretty much all the characters were previously leaked, but Daffy Duck does appear to be a more recent addition.
MultiVersus dataminers have already managed to find a ton of evidence that suggests that Daffy Duck, Samurai Jack, Pickle Rick, Beetlejuice, and more are coming to the game.
It's been a long time coming but, after a whole year away, MultiVersus finally relaunched earlier this week, bringing it with it some new game modes, cosmetics, mechanics, and, most importantly, new fighters. Although the reception to the relaunch has been a little mixed so far since there are only a few new characters to play as, it looks like there are already a lot more planned for the near future.

Banana Guard and Jason had my eyebrows raised at first, but I'm just glad MultiVersus has some tricks up its sleeves still.
Before we dive into the MultiVersus datamines and leaks, it's worth noting that they should still be taken with a grain of salt. While some have been heavily teased by the devs and are seemingly in a near-finished state, previous MultiVersus leaks haven't always panned out and it shouldn't be taken as a confirmation. Just look at Static Shock and Stranger Things' Eleven.
MultiVersus Datamines Gives Us A Good Idea Of Who's Joining The Roster
Let's start off with some obvious character picks that appear to be happening in the near future. The Powerpuff Girls, who were hinted at in Joker's trailer, have a ton of voice lines already in the game files. Those voice lines, which were shared by YouTuber easternunit200, suggest that they'll fight in a group of three that's swapped out kind of like the Pokemon Trainer in Smash.
Another Cartoon Network icon who appears to be nearly finished is Samurai Jack, whose entire moveset was leaked by a reliable insider alongside his voice lines. Jack appears to have the ability to throw opponents, and is believed to be one of the next fighters to join the game. He's also voiced by Phil Lamarr, who is also playing another character whose voicelines have leaked - Aquaman.
More recent datamines have revealed that Beetlejuice and The Wicked Witch are still coming at some point in MultiVersus' lifetime, as the two characters have even more voice lines and interactions than they did before the relaunch. Nubia, who is believed to be a premium costume for Wonder Woman, also had her voicelines leaked alongside Pickle Rick, who is believed to be his own fighter now.
Pickle Rick far and away has the best voice lines in the game so far and even makes fun of MultiVersus' lack of plot and microtransactions.
MultiVersus Datamines Also Include Some Brand New Fighters
Pickle Rick's voicelines also suggest that RWBY's Ruby Rose will be a playable character in MultiVersus at some point, as he's seen making references to anime, dust, and her unique scythe. Rick also directly references Marceline and says that she'll be coming to the game soon, seemingly with a music buffing ability.
The most exciting character that's been suggested to be in the game thanks to dataminers, however, is Daffy Duck. Just a few days after the relaunch, reliable leaker AusilMV shared since-deleted videos of a model of Shaggy codenamed "Seasons" performing actions that were clearly linked to Daffy Duck.
To make things even more interesting, the animations that were used in the tweet seem to be very close to what Sonicpox pitched before he was hired by Player First Games and started working on MultiVersus. It seems his excellent pitch might become the basis for the character's actual release.
