Everyone's favorite time travelling samurai is getting his own game coming this summer.

I remember, barely, that there was a Samurai Jack licensed game years ago. Hopefully this is better than that one, especially since I imagine it will go through the whole series going by the trailer.

The graphic looks like those 90's CG commercials, so I'm actually pretty interested in the game.

Although, I can't say I'll buy it on day 1.

I actually played one of the games for PS 2 released in 2004. It wasn't that bad but bland and repetitive. Some good stuff set up but nothing much in the end. Here's hoping this game takes advantage of the show's setting with far more gameplay variety and exploration.

I just hope we can have Princess Mira and X-49, since I wish they both have proper closure this time around. Or a quest, or whatever.

Actually there's so much I'd like to see but I'm not sure if they'd cram it all and might need DL Cs or not.

Supposedly it's the team behind Ninja Gaiden making the game, but it's been years since that title's success and their latest releases have been mediocre to downright poor. Would've felt more confident if a company like Platinum was put in charge of development, the setting of Samurai Jack would be perfect for their over-the-top action and bossfights.

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time (7)Funny, I once suggested the people who made Samurai Jack could have worked on a Ninja Gaiden show.

Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time (9)Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time (10)But we already have a Samurai Jack game made by Platinum.

Kidding aside, if this can redeem the Ninja Gaiden team, then I am all for it.

Plus Platinum’s licenses games normally aren’t very good either.

Except for Metal Gear Rising but that’s really an outlier.

Well here's hoping this is when they get their groove back.

Either way hopefully this game is big seriously there is a lot of bosses you can make out of a Samurai Jack game.

Seriously there's the Lava Monsters, the Elemental's, the Dome of Doom Champions, the Ultra-Robots, the Imakandi, Demongo (who already comes with a bunch of characters to fight against), the robots from the 300 episodes, etc.

Those guys alone can fit a whole game & that's only like a fraction of all the incredible foes Jack fought, I haven't even mentioned the Minions of Set or the Shinobi.

There's so much f*cking potential.

And do things like teaming up with guys like the Spartan King and the Scotsman, hopefully with a good AI.

Wake me up at your own risk.

I feel there might be too much things to put in so they might save it for DLC. Trying to get all 60 episodes in...is overkill.

I feel they might do "the greatest episodes" thing. Still, potential is high as slim said and what's also the best: it wouldn't be a repetitive experience, because boss fights alone would be varied, as would objectives. Sure the show itself had Recycled Script often but knew how to work it with atmosphere and action.

I'll give it a shot, but I'm not hyping myself up for it.

It's coming August 21st. And it looks like you'll be playing through all the seasons of the show and you have multiple weapon types.

I wonder how many of Demongo’s warriors are they using.
